Figuring out payment and insurance can feel like another task when you're already managing a lot. The intention here is to make this part as straightforward as possible — what a session costs, how insurance fits in, and what to expect about cancellations and payment — with no surprises, and no sales language.
Session rates
Rates are the same whether sessions are in person in Murray, Utah or via telehealth across the state. All sessions are billed in full at the time of service.
Therapy
- Individual therapy — $200/hr. Trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults, including EMDR, somatic experiencing, parts work, and the longer arc of reorganizing a life. Clinical care under my license; 50–60 minute sessions. Superbills available on request.
- Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) — $200/hr. Psychotherapy that uses ketamine as a tool within a structured protocol — preparation, dosing, and integration sessions. A full arc typically runs 2–4 preparation sessions, 1–6 dosing sessions, and ongoing integration over 3–6 months. The ketamine medication itself and any separate prescriber evaluation are billed separately and aren't included in the psychotherapy rate.
Coaching
- Ketamine preparation coaching — $200/hr. Focused work on intention, set and setting, psychological readiness, and practical logistics around an upcoming ketamine experience. Most clients do 2–4 sessions. Non-clinical — no diagnosis, no clinical record, no superbill.
- Ketamine facilitation — $200/hr, two-hour minimum per engagement. In-session presence during a ketamine experience inside a legally-sanctioned container. Only offered alongside preparation before and integration after — facilitation isn't available as a standalone service. Does not include the ketamine medication, the prescriber relationship, or any container logistics.
- Integration coaching — $150/hr. Coaching after a psychedelic experience — making sense of what happened, letting it change how you live, and being honest about which parts should be integrated and which shouldn't. Typical arcs are 4–8 sessions over 2–4 months. Available whether or not you prepared with me.
Understanding your investment
Insurance
I'm in-network with select plans for therapy and the psychotherapy portion of KAP. Coaching — preparation, integration, and facilitation — is never reimbursable under health insurance, in-network or out-of-network.
In-network carriers:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Cigna
- Regence BCBS
- Select Health
- United Healthcare
If your plan isn't on that list, a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement is available on request for therapy and KAP psychotherapy sessions. Whether your insurer reimburses, and at what rate, is between you and them.
Payment methods
Payment is billed through the EHR at the time of service. A card is kept on file and run at the time of service. Accepted methods:
- Credit and debit card
- HSA, FSA, and MSA cards
Sliding scale
A limited number of reduced-fee slots are available, allocated case-by-case. If cost is a barrier, bring it up in the consultation — I'd rather know up front than have it quietly stop the work later.
Cancellation policy
Less than 24 hours' notice is a late cancellation and is charged at the full session fee. This keeps the schedule honest for everyone — clinical hours are held for you, and I can't reliably backfill inside the window.
Exceptions for documented illness, emergencies, and same-week reschedules where a slot is available. Reach out through the EHR as soon as you know — earlier notice almost always means a workable alternative.
